The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act or (CARES Act), was passed by Congress on March 27, 2020. This bill allotted $2.2 trillion to provide economic aid to the American people negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. St Paul Island (in the Priblof Islands, Alaska) is the ancestral home of the Tanadgusix Tribe. In 2021, the tribe was awarded Cares-Act funds to improve on-island facilities for housing, renovation, repairs and Covid-19 quarantine ready space. TPS provided design-build services for the King Eider Hotel, one of the only housing facilities on-island for visiting workers, travelers, visiting family members or recreationalists.
