Mill Creek
.
Client: Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District
Location: Mill Creek, Washington
This project involves the removal and replacement of the legacy fish ladder, bridge corbel repairs, and the pedestrian guardrails at the Mill Creek Division Works structure. Prior to removal and replacement of the fish ladder, TDX diverted Mill Creek through two – 36” diversion pipes that pass through the job site and provide diversion water to Yellow Hawk Irrigation and Mill Creek. TDX demolished the existing fish ladder with a new compliant fish ladder that is structurally longer and wider to increase attractant flows. Excavated portions of the adjacent levee were rebuilt, including restoration of riprap. A City of Walla Walla public-use bicycle path was restored on the levee.
