Pine Creek Habitat
.
Client: Eagle Valley Soil & Water Conservation District | Idaho Power
Location: Halfway, Oregon
In 2019, under an accelerated one week in-water schedule, Pine Creek was deepened (along the thalweg) from its original profile line to allow scour (verses bed loading) in the main channel. Removed channel soil was placed above the OHW line and graded to naturally flow water back into Pine Creek. To increase surface roughness, the riparian area was augmented with 8 – 22” diameter cottonwood trees with root wads.
