Client: City of Pocatello
Location: Pocatello, Idaho

Pocatello Creek flows out of the mountains east of the City. The project area contains stream segments that exhibit varying degrees of bank erosion and channel incision from 2017 spring runoff. There are two types of bank stabilization treatments proposed, the first treatment type is comprised of a Flex MSE vegetated wall system with a rock toe and a brush layering revegetation treatment with dormant hardwood cuttings. The second bank stabilization treatment is comprised of grading the channel banks to reduce the slope, revegetating with dormant hardwood cutting bundles, and a rock toe. The City of Pocatello received the 2019 APWA award for “The Pocatello Creek Restoration”.
